Expert Witness
Lisa has over 20 years’ experience as an Expert Witness on Heritage matters in the Land and Environment Court of NSW. Lisa uses her architectural skills to facilitate conciliated outcomes through the s34AA and s34A process, and provides Expert Evidence through Joint Reports and at contested hearings. Lisa is a sought after Heritage Expert who regularly appears in the LEC for the following Councils:
Inner West Council, North Sydney Council, Burwood Council, Strathfield Council, Woollahra Council, Hunters Hill Council, Willoughby Council, Wingecarribee Council, Northern Beaches Council, Shoalhaven Council, Blacktown Council, Bayside Council, Heritage Council of NSW

Heritage Studies & Assessments
Lisa has prepared a variety of heritage studies and heritage assessments for various local and state government agencies in NSW, including heritage reviews, conservation area reviews, significance assessments, peer reviews, independent heritage impact assessments, heritage gap analysis and action plans and landscape studies. Lisa Trueman is a heritage consultant with over 30 years’ experience in built heritage conservation. Lisa has a background in architecture and specialises in providing clear and concise heritage advice and statutory guidance to local and state government agencies in order to facilitate outcomes based on heritage best practice.
Lisa is a highly regarded Heritage Expert in the Land and Environment Court of NSW, with over 25 years experience as an Expert Witness. She is a member of nine Local Planning Panels and several other panels and committees advising Federal, State and Local government agencies in heritage and planning matters.
Lisa provides regular advice to Councils, State government agencies and private clients including peer reviews, heritage referrals, heritage assessments, heritage impact assessments and strategic heritage studies.
